High School Fashion

Let me start with saying that there is no such thing as 'high school fashion'. If we're being brutally honest most teenagers have really bad/bland style. My school seems to favor yoga pants and anything from Abercrombie and Fitch. I actually wore yoga pants today (I'm ashamed, but they are so comfy!). Anyways with almost everybody wearing American Eagle on the daily it's not very hard to stand out. And while I'm all about being individual and all that jazz, it's still pretty weird to have people actually staring at you as you walk by. Since I basically developed a sense of style (and a love of wedges) over the summer, nobody was expecting me to walk into school with sky-high black wedges, a skirt,  and a flower print bustier on. Anyways my advice on high school 'fashion' is to wear what you like! Wear what you look good in! My point is that when you wear what you like people will get a better understanding of who you are without even talking to you! Just be yourself and there is nothing people can say that will bring you down. Wow that was cheesy.

Lo Siento!!

So sorry I haven't blogged in the last couple of weeks, but as some of you may know I am a freshman this year so my life is pretty chaotic. I have been sososo busy with all of my schoolwork and getting used to high school.  I am so back though, so look out for regular posts again.

Magic For Your Hair #1: Sock Bun

This is absolutely amazing. If you haven't heard of it, it's when you take damp hair and make a bun out of it using a cut up sock. After you take the sock out when your hair is dry and you have amazing curls with no heat. It's so great for me because my hair is already damaged from bleach and curling it all the time. So when you use this method instead, you get great curls without the damage. It's heavenly. You're intended to use one sock and put the bun on top of your head, but I find it works way better if you do two buns on the sides of your head (Princess Laya?). Here's a link to a tutorial (or you could just look it up on youtube) :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FV-YO46E8Y Have fun and good luck!
