Inspiring Fashion Photography

These are just a bunch of pictures that inspire my fashion sense. They're all from weheartit.com.  My style is a mixture of whimsical, edgy, and funny. Hope you enjoy it!

Leggings

I'm in high school at the moment, so I see this fashion crime daily. Leggings for pants. It's horrible. They look ridiculous and innapropriate. No one wants to see that. Just because you can wear them, doesn't mean you should. And people claim it's for comfort, but what's comfortable about it? If you're looking for something comfy why not try sweats? Leggings aren't pants. That's why they made jeggings (which i'm not a huge fan of either). Leggings were made to wear under things, so why not just do that? The only way I would ever wear leggings is with a long tunic. It's a very controversial topic, some people love it and some people (me) hate it. But in my opinion if you are going to wear leggings you need to make sure you're wearing a shirt/dress that covers your ass and crotch. That's gross. Seriously, cover up.
You shouldn't be able to see this in public.

Horrible Names

Sorry, but I feel a rant coming on, so prepare yourself. What really gets on my nerves is stupid names. Like at a restaurant called Friendly's there is this thing called a Fribbler. What the hell? I'm not ordering a lawn gnome. I don't think the name is necessary. I was also at a Dip N' Dots today and they are just as ridiculous. The name for a blue raspberry flavor was something along the lines of "Super Duper Fun-Time Razz Yum Yum", seriously. I don't understand.

Miracle Product #2

Rosebud Salve. This stuff has been around for ages and you can use it for everything.
1. Moisturized lips
2. Conditions eyelashes
3. Moisturizes cuticals
4. Tames crazy eye brows
5. Fixes frizzy hair
6. Gives you a healthy sheen
7. Moisturizes hands and feet
8. Reducing redness in acne

So Rosebud salve is a must for all women. Plus it's inexpensive. Only five-to-siz dollars, depending on where you buy it. Right now i have it on my eye lashes, eye lids, cheeks, lips, and eyebrows. This magical balm can also stop fine lines from appearing near your eyes. And it's good for your skin too, so no worries about it clogging your pores and making your face oily.

No Makeup

I'm quite jealous of all of the gorgeous models that walk around the streets without makeup on, and still look gorgeous. That takes courage because people are always going to judge you and accepting that is not easy to do. So i'm trying to wear less makeup so one day I can take it all of (my makeup) and feel good about how I look. I probably shouldn't even try to wear less makeup because I always go back to bright makeup looks, but I haven't given up yet.

Miracle Product #1

This cream is like a miracle in a jar. Last year when I was staying with my grandmother she pulled out this jar of white stuff and started putting it all over her face. So obviously I was curious to find out what it was. She told me it was cold cream and how it was great for your skin. I've been using it ever since to remove makeup, but only recently have I found out that it's great for other things too! Here are some of it's many uses:
1. Removing makeup
2. Hand/foot conditioner (don't knock it until you try it!)
3. Rough Elbows
4. A face mask
5. Face moisturizer.

Plus the stuff is really good for your skin! The other day,(right after I found out how awesome it is), I rubber some of it on my face and let it sit there for about 5 minutes, then I washed it off and went to bed after seeing no results. But when I woke up in the morning my face was smooth and there was no redness! By the was my face is always red. Always.

But this cream leaves your skin feeling soft and cool (hence the name). It's also very inexpensive. You could get makeup remover, lotion, a face mask, and a moisturizer for like fifty dollars! But cold cream isn't even ten dollars, and it's easy to find. Just look at a CVS or anywhere that sells soaps. The only downside is that the cream is a little on the oily side, so if you have oily prone skin I wouldn't suggest using it as a mask. But it's still good for removing makeup, and it's gentle to your eyes. I'm telling you, you have to try this miracle cream as soon as possible.

(This is the kind I use, though the most popular brand is called Ponds)

Good luck!

Well That Looks Uncomfortable...

While searching the internet for pictures for my blog I often come across crazy shoes. There's no one that could ever walk in these and they're not suitable for any event. Have you ever seen people wear shoes like these?
Excuse me ma'am, but have you seen my dogs?
12 inch bright red boots? Lady Gaga would be put to shame!

Watch your step there Miss!
This doesn't even make sense! And where are her pants?
Are these like the shape-ups of heels?
Oh Alexander McQueen. What do I even say to shoes like this?

Well, they definitely... ummm, elongate her legs?

I hope one day I have the privilege to see someone actually wearing those dog shoes on the street. That would make my life complete.

My Love Of Wedges

Wedges are the most amazing shoes there are. Simple. Really though, I've always been obsessed with them and I don't even know where it came from! I don't know people that wear wedges! But I still think they're the best shoes ever. They're like heels but easier to walk in (not less painful though) And mainly I just like how they look, I have never seen a pair of wedges that didn't look chic. Plus wedges are more wearable to casual things than heels are. Wedges are all over great.

Twitter

I have a twitter, but even though it's actually popular where I live, I never use it. I find it useless. Isn't Facebook sufficient enough to fill your social networking desires? Twitter is just useless to me. I wish someone would make a good argument in favor of twitter because i've yet to hear one. It's just another way to publicly talk to your friends. But you can't send messages over 140 characters (including spaces). It's just stupid.

Thrift Stores?

I think thrift shops are awesome. Judge me if you want, but they are. You can find really vintage things for like no money. In fact I went to one today and found a sick belt. The point is that consignment shops aren't dirty or anything. They don't accept gross, unclean things. And there are a lot of unique things at second hand stores, so you won't end up having the same shirt, or in my case: belt as someone else (no one likes that). All i'm saying is that everyone should be open minded about thrift shops because you never know what you'll find.

The World.

So I don't believe in god, and i'll tell you why. The thought of some man in the sky controlling everyone is so ridiculous to me. I honestly can't believe that so many people believe in that either! It seems like a fairytale kind of thing to me. And no offense, but it' just doesn't make sense to me. Even if I wanted to believe in god I couldn't because it's so ridiculous! And also if there was a god, would he honestly let the world suck this much? People die everyday, a lot of people. Would god allow all the poverty in the world? And we're always at war, but for what? Can't we all just appreciate what we already have? We don't need more of anything, except maybe food because the population keeps going up. Would god do this? He could be trying to teach everyone a lesson or whatever, like most people think. But that wouldn't make sense either because this 'lesson' has been going on for a long-ass time. The general idea of god is just nonsense to me. I'm sorry if anyone is offended, but this is just my opinion. Take it or leave it. And also, to those of you who do believe in god, i'm fine with that! I honestly have nothing against Christians, it's just not for me.

Hair Up

For a long time i've tried to be more confident, but it's hard when you don't look like a supermodel. So this year my main goal is to gain more confidence and be totally comfortable with myself. I remember last year I wore things to school that made people stare and whisper, I put on crazy makeup, and tried some freaky hairstyles. But the time when I felt most self conscience was when I had my hair all back. It sounds so dumb, but the whole day I kept thinking everyone was staring at me when in reality no one even noticed. All it took was a high bun to make me a wreck and i'm not proud of that. Since then, i've been putting my hair all back more often when I get home and I think it's really helping. Anyways i'm going to focus on being more comfortable with myself this year. Good luck.

Perfection Is Not Worth It.

A lot of people strive to be perfect and to do no wrong, but who actually achieves this? Only a handful of people. Even if you were awesome enough there would be no point. Perfect basically means containing absolutely no flaws. But where’s the fun in that? Where is the dignity? Is an innocent life with nothing even slightly naughty (yes I said it) going to be a good time? No way. And sure you can go around knowing that you have avoided all possible conflict, but what does that really mean? It means that you don’t stand up for yourself. You can’t honestly respect yourself while you let someone walk all over you. Everyone has flaws.

Pink Hair?

My hair is currently a darkish blonde, (it's naturally strawberry-blonde). And i've died it about 5 or 6 times, but lately i've really had my sights set on pink hair. Yes, bubblegum pink hair.  Or at least partially pink. It sounds crazy, but I'm so drawn to it. I've died it dark red, and lighter red before, but some how, pink seems so much more daring. I'm afraid it would look horrible (because I am positive it would), but I have died it platinum blonde and that worked out (sort of). Honestly I'm mostly concerned with how people will see me, though I hate to admit it. I'm not the kind of person that would die their hair pink. And hold up before you call me stereotypical, but it's the truth. People with pink hair are seen as 'rebels' or whatever. and I am in no way a rebel. I mainly don't want people to get the wrong idea about me. My roots are growing out though, and I have to decide what I'm going to do to my hair soon. We'll see.

California Girl

This is on the top of my envy list (though I wouldn't be caught dead in those glasses). Bohemian style looks effortless, and gorgeous. It's so simple, yet still put together. The whole 'California-girl' thing is completely innovative. Oddly enough, I think it's such an ingenious idea because of the simplicity. Anyways boho is loose and comfortable too. So bow down because I have a feeling it's going to make a huge comeback, or come-first... whatever.

Hello

So, I'm new at this, but I'll give it a try. Hi, my name is Savannah. I don't study teen vogue for hours (though I do read the magazine). I don't want to move to New York to be a fashion designer. That seems very unoriginal to me. I just like wearing fun, eccentric things. And I'd like to think I can pull most of them off. I believe everyone has their own opinion and their own style (even if it's bad). And everyone deserves to show people how they see things, so that's what I'm going to do.
